We had a great social season this year.  As always, our members stepped up and volunteered as hosts and crew.  We really appreciate your efforts.

Our next event is the annual Chili Cook Off on Saturday October 8, 2016 starting at 5:30.  Bring your favorite pot of chili and enter the contest for fabulous prizes and bragging rights!

Our final social event will be the Final Bash on Saturday November 5, 2016 at Rick’s Café Boatyard.  More info to follow.

Big Shout OUT to Eric Jones and his crew for putting on a fabulous Lobster Fest Event!  Despite the weather, we had a great turnout! He had so much fun, he has already volunteered for next year!  Thanks Eric!!  Please check out the pictures on the our Facebook Page.  Great fun had by all!

 Jack and Cindy Hale are gearing up for our Labor Day Barbecue.  Please plan on coming with an appetite and a dish to pass.  We anticipate GREAT weather this weekend so this too should be a successful event!  First Burger Served at 3:30.

It is hard to believe that it is already August! Eric Jones and his crew have been planning the Lobster Fest for several weeks.  Lobster Fest will take place on August 20th. You should have already received a “Save the Date” email. To cover the cost of the Lobsters we are charging $12 per person. We need to have a good head count so we order the right amount of those clawed creatures so PLEASE RSVP.   We are still seeking 4 additional volunteers to assist with this event. Earn some work credits and join in on all the fun! Contact Eric Jones or Vickie Greenough if you are up for the challenge.

We have a lot of social events in the summer.  We already had a successful Mother’s Day brunch and Father’s Day brunch.  Next up is the very popular July 4th Pig Roast.  That is followed by the newly revived ECSC Beach Party on July 9th.  I hope you sent in your RSVP for this popular event.

Our big event for August is the annual Lobster Boil.  This is another RSVP event so we know how many lobsters to order.  Please, please, please, please be sure to RSVP so we have enough for everyone.  And when we say one lobster per person, please take only one lobster so that everyone who ordered one can get one.  If there are extras, you are more than welcome to go back for seconds.

We have two events in September: the Labor Day cookout on September 5th and the Governor’s Cup Regatta party on September 10th.

We still need volunteer hosts and crew for some events.  Check the “Host/Crew Assignments” link on the Social page for openings.  You will receive valuable work credits to offset next year’s membership dues.

Despite the cold, rainy weather, we had a great turnout for the Mother’s Day brunch.  Big “Thank You” to Mike and Katie Smith for a job well done!  Tony Rice spent his time at the grill as the Smith’s wingman.

David Knapp is gearing up for our Memorial Day cook out.  The weather is expected to be beautiful and breezy.  First burger will be served at 3:30.  Get you sailing in early and dock in time for some grub.

It is hard to believe that Mother’s Day is right around the corner!  Please join us in our season kickoff Mother’s Day Brunch hosted by Mike and Katie Smith on Sunday, May 8th, at 11:30am.  If you want to support the Smith’s efforts and earn some work credits, then please let me know!  Bring a dish to pass and treat your Mother to the best brunch in town!
